“I came by my knowledge of antiques and collectibles the way you learn many things; it was forced on me by my parents. Maybe forced isn’t the right word but I remember many of my childhood Saturdays were spent at auctions.
Over the years my parents’ collections expanded to occupy virtually every available space in our home, including a dedicated room in our basement affectionately referred to as “The Museum”.
As an adult I collected different items that appealed to me, albeit on a more modest scale than my parents. Unlike my parents who thought only of buying, I got into the seller’s market. I sold online as well as at shows and through auctions. The thrill of the hunt for things to sell was as much fun as the actual sale of the items.
